The optical Ising machine is an electro optic hardware and software stack that has been built to solve problems that are NP hard and not solvable in polynomial time. The Ising Machine is targeted at solving optimization problems formulated as a QUBO ((Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization). Solving problems like but not limited to, which route should a truck take to minimize cost and delivery time (traveling salesman problem), what mix of equity and debt will minimize risk and maximize returns (constraint optimization for finance domain) will be solved with speed and efficiency leveraging the power of photonics.
